"If you're always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be."
I am Dr. Eunice L. Jenkins, a Mental Health Service Provider, Certified Life & Mindfulness Coach, Consultant, Trainer, & Educator, supporting individuals, couples, and families with everyday life pressures and challenges from the Dallas – Fort Worth, TX area and beyond. I am the Founder of Jenkins Family Solution Center, PLLC located in Tarrant County.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (#203921) in Texas and a Certified Life & Mindfulness Coach worldwide. I graduated from University of Arkansas - Pine Bluff with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and minor in Counseling Psychology, University of Phoenix with a Master's in Counseling Psychology, and from Texas Woman's University with a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy.
While I work with clients that present with an array of mental challenges, I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are diagnosed with chronic illnesses (e.g. Heart Disease, Cancer, Chronic Lung Disease, Alzheimer's/Dementia, Diabetes, Parkinson's, Kidney Disease, Lupus, Sickle Cell, etc.). I also have an extensive background in working with the Autism population of all ages on both the low and high end of the spectrum along with 10 years of experience providing services to families with school aged children who suffer from learning and behavioral disorders (Dyslexia, Processing Deficits, ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder).
My professional background affords me the opportunity to bring a vigorous set of skills and a strong commitment to mental health and mental wealth in my work as a Therapist, Life Coach, Consultant, Educator, and Trainer. I chose to enter the mental health field because therapy has been and will continue to be deeply vital in my personal journey of coping with grief to becoming resilient in the face of adversity.
I work tirelessly in this field because I have a soft spot for helping others who feel stuck, lonely, hopeless, and inadequate; very similar to how I have felt at various times in my own life. It is my belief that each of us deserves a skilled, compassionate, supportive, fierce ally with plenty of resources to support us when life gets tough (as it inevitably does). I do this work because, at the end of the day, I just can't NOT do this work. Not only is this work my passion, but it's also the story of my very own life path.
I have identified with the pain I have seen in others and resonate with the yearning for something deeper and greater. I am drawn to and fascinated by the stories of people experiences with suffering and their ability to triumph over adversity. Despite disadvantages that stem naturally from the lack of, abuse by others in power, and traumatic experiences be it of the mind, body, and/or soul, I have a working knowledge and understanding of what it takes to move beyond the impossible to heal and create the life we all desire to have.
I am enthusiastic about helping clients move forward in crafting a life that feels possible, hopeful, empowered, and connected!
I want to empower you to be your best self in all aspects of life. I provide friendly and constructive advice to help you reach your full potential.
