Individual therapy is performed in a one-on-one format, in a private and confidential setting, in-office or virtual. It allows for a safe and comfortable space where clients can share openly.
We all struggle with obstacles that life throws at us here and there and require a helping hand. Our goal in individual therapy is to empower you to become the best version of you possible. Everyone's starting place and destination is different . Each client is viewed as a unique individual with a personalized path back to finding happiness, and each case is treated differently. The techniques used are determined by individual client needs as there is no one-size-fits all counseling mold for everyone.
All new clients are required to complete a 75-minute intake session prior to starting re-occurring sessions.
These sessions are designed to be a shorter, more condensed version of traditional therapy sessions, and may be ideal for clients who are seeking more frequent support and guidance but have limited time. During these sessions, the therapist will work with the client to identify their current concerns, provide coping strategies, and help the client work towards their therapeutic goals. With the shorter time frame, sessions focus on specific concerns the client is currently facing. Sessions can be done weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the client's needs.
These sessions are a more traditional length for individual therapy sessions and provide ample time for the client and therapist to explore concerns and develop strategies for coping and growth. The therapist will work with the client to identify their current concerns, explore underlying issues, and help the client work towards their therapeutic goals. The additional time may allow for more in-depth discussion, reflection, and processing of emotions. These sessions can also be done weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the client's needs.
